Repeat prescriptions are available at 2 working days notice. Please note this does not include weekends. All prescriptions requested on a Friday will be ready the following Tuesday.
The NHS Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) service is just a phonecall away. There's no need to come into the practice or go to the pharmacy. You'll also speak to a trained health professional who can discuss your needs, meaning you'll only order medication when you need it - saving the NHS money to spend on other important services. The POD is open from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm on 01384 323222. More information is available from the practice.
Alternatively you can request your repeat prescription online. It's easy and it's safe. There is no need to make a phone call or visit us; instead computer, smartphone or tablet users can request repeat prescriptions anywhere – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also check what medication you should be taking and when.
If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
